Managing categories

Provide categories to users so they can ease the access to content

❓ What are my options?

As a platform admin, you can:

• Create, manage, and delete categories for end-users.

• Configure each category with:

  • Icon and Name

  • Access Permissions: Who can use this category to search items

  • Addition Permissions: Who can add the category to items

• Organize categories by creating parent categories and subcategories or repositioning categories.

💡 Good to know

• Currently, categories are only available for spaces. To extend this feature, share your feedback here.

🛠️ How to manage categories?

1. Navigate to Settings:

   Go to Platform Settings > Development > Categories.

2. Add Categories:

   • Add a parent category with the main button.

   • Add a subcategory via the three-dot menu on each category.

3. Define Category Details:

   • Assign a name and icon.

   • Set permissions:

     • Access Permissions: Specify who can view the category.

     • Addition Permissions: Specify who can assign the category to items.
